Commencement 2026

Graduation is a major milestone, and we at SUNY Broome are working to make Commencement a special occasion for our students and their family and friends. Commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena, located in downtown Binghamton.

All candidates graduating in Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 will be invited to participate in the 2026 Commencement Ceremony. In order to participate in Commencement, students must submit an Intent to Graduate form to confirm that you have met all the degree requirements to award your degree.

Timeline for Commencement

 Toast to the Tassel
 10 a.m. – noon, Student Center Quad
Kick off your big day with a brunch-style picnic and raise a glass (of sparkling juice!) at our celebratory toast at 11:30 a.m. Don’t forget your regalia—it’s the perfect chance for photos with friends and family!

 Rehearsal
 1 p.m., Visions Veterans Memorial Arena – Ground Level
All graduates attending Commencement must attend rehearsal. This is where you’ll get important lineup instructions and your name card—you’ll need it to walk across the stage!

 Commencement Ceremony
 6:30 p.m., Visions Veterans Memorial Arena
Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to wear your full regalia and bring your name card to participate.
