The Writing Center empowers students to become confident, effective communicators by providing individualized support throughout the writing process. Through collaborative conversations with professional tutors, we help writers strengthen their critical thinking, develop effective writing strategies, and build the skills needed for academic, professional, and personal success.

Writing is a process and you don’t have to do it alone.
Whether you’re brainstorming ideas, organizing a paper, revising a draft, or polishing a final assignment, the Writing Center is here to help.
Our professional tutors work with students from every academic program and at every stage of the writing process. We don’t simply edit papers we help you become a stronger, more confident writer.

How to Prepare
To get the most from your appointment, bring:
- Your assignment instructions
- Any drafts you’ve started
- Instructor feedback (if available)
- Your textbook or supporting materials
- Specific questions you’d like answered
You don’t need a finished draft to visit, we’re happy to help from the very beginning of the writing process.
During your session, you can expect to:
- Meet one-on-one with a professional tutor.
- Discuss your assignment and your writing goals.
- Receive feedback through conversation, not correction.
- Learn strategies you can use on future assignments.
- Leave with a plan for your next draft or revision.
