Success Coaching at SUNY Broome
Success Coaching supports you in unlocking your potential and identifying and achieving your vision and goals. Success Coaches support you in developing autonomy for your learning, competence in your studies and goals, and belonging within your academic program and the college.
You have an assigned success coach based on your academic program. All you need to do is schedule an appointment with your Success Coach to begin the process.
Attend a Success Workshop or Drop-in Session
Success Coaches offer Success Workshops and Drop-in Sessions designed to share resources and tools to help you succeed. All workshops are free to attend and do not require pre-registration.

- Setting goals and building a step-by-step plan to meet those goals
- Building strong organization and time-management skills to balance school, work, and life
- Developing effective learning strategies, such as active reading and note-taking, study techniques, and exam preparation
- Getting connected with campus resources, student clubs, and community organizations

Academic Advisor
- Discusses educational plans, career goals, and academic standards, policies, and procedures.
- Reviews and communicates degree requirements.
- Assists in making academic decisions to reach educational goals.
Counselor (Counseling Services)
- Provides free and confidential counseling to support mental health needs.
Career Specialist

- Reviews resumes and cover letters needed for job searching.
- Assists with career exploration.
- Explores employment on and off campus.
