Culinary & Event Center

Located in the heart of downtown Binghamton, the Culinary & Event Center (CEC) is a dynamic hub for learning, collaboration, and community. This one-of-a-kind facility combines state-of-the-art amenities with historic charm, offering students and the community an immersive experience unlike anywhere else in the region.

Originally built in 1903, the CEC has been beautifully restored to preserve its character and history. Visitors will notice the elegant plaster details, restored woodwork, a terrazzo floor featuring a Grecian key pattern, and cozy faux fireplaces in the main-floor lounge all paired with modern, cutting-edge learning and event spaces.

Event Rentals

The CEC is available for external use by groups, organizations and businesses when not in use for college programming. Its versatile spaces are perfect for conferences, meetings, private parties, holiday parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and more!

Team Building Experiences

Looking for a fun and engaging way to bring your team together? The CEC offers customizable culinary-based team building activities for groups, organizations, and employers. Strengthen collaboration, communication, and creativity while cooking up something delicious!

Previous team activities have included:
“Chopped”-style competitions where teams face off with surprise ingredients
Group cooking sessions guided by our expert instructors
Interactive demos where everyone gets involved
