Our free tutoring services are here to empower you on your path to success. Our tutors are dedicated to helping you become a confident, active learner by sharing strategies and skills essential for excelling in your courses.

This resource is available to all students—your success is our priority!

‘Drop-in’ to any tutoring session during scheduled tutoring times. No appointment required.

Drop-in tutoring is limited in the summer. For BIO/CHM/PHY tutoring:
-PHY (PHY 161 & PHY 181): Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6 p.m. in the Math Lab (Library 010)
-BIO (BIO 101, BIO 110, BIO 131, & BIO 132): Tutoring by request
-CHM (CHM 120, CHM 145, & CHM 146): Tutoring by request 
-All other subjects: Utilize ThinkingStorm for online tutoring. More info below.

ThinkingStorm provides 24/7 drop-in tutoring for math, statistics, and most science courses. Additional appointments available for other content courses.

STAR-NY Tutoring

STAR-NY provides individual online evening tutoring during the summer term for math and writing. Consult the list below. STAR-NY Tutoring

Days Available: Sundays-Thursdays

Times available: 7 p.m. – Midnight

Courses available:

  • Writing – Any course through Masters level (except foreign language)
  • Math – Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calc I, & Intro to Statistics

This student leadership role is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge, support your peers, and develop valuable skills. To qualify, applicants should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and earned a grade of B or higher in the course(s) they wish to tutor.
