STAR-NY provides individual online evening tutoring during the winter term for math and writing. Consult the list below. STAR-NY Tutoring

Days Available: Sunday-Thursday beginning Sunday, 1/25/2026 – 5/7/2026

Times available: 7 p.m. – Midnight

Courses available:

  • Writing – any course through Masters level (except foreign language)
  • Math – Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calc I, & Intro to Statistics
  • Chemistry – Intro & Gen Chem (7 pm-midnight on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 8pm – 10:30om on Mondays and Tuesdays)
  • Organic Chemistry (7 pm-midnight on Sundays and Wednesdays. 8 pm – 10:30 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays)
  • Biology Intro and A&P – Sundays and Thursdays
  • Physics Intro – Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Economics – Intro, Macro, and Micro
  • Accounting – any course below the 400 level (Mondays and Thursdays 7 pm – 9:30 pm)
  • Computer Science – Introductory level
  • Nursing – Introductory level
  • Nursing Math Inc. drug measures; med labels/syringe calibrations; dosage, IV, and pediatric calculations
  • Psychology – Introductory level

This student leadership role is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge, support your peers, and develop valuable skills. To qualify, applicants should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and earned a grade of B or higher in the course(s) they wish to tutor.
