Digital Content Accessibility

SUNY Broome is committed to providing digital content that is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. Consistent with ADA Title II requirements and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA—which establish the current federal standard—the College is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA to align with evolving federal and New York State expectations. Accessibility is incorporated into the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the College’s websites, documents, and digital resources.

Digital accessibility at SUNY Broome extends across all formats and platforms, including documents, emails, websites, course content, multimedia, and other electronic resources. It is not limited to content published on the web or in courses — any digital material shared with students or the campus community must be accessible to ensure equitable access to information and services.
