The Health Studies A.A.S. degree is designed to prepare students for direct employment in the healthcare field. It offers the flexibility to pursue a healthcare pathway aligned with high-demand careers. This is the recommended degree for students planning to work toward admission into a competitive health science program.

Program Highlights:

This degree equips students with essential skills for entry into the healthcare field and supports their pursuit of admission to competitive health science programs. Students are required to select a pathway of focus that aligns with their academic interests and career goals.

Students choose between 1 of 3 pathways to help prepare them for direct entry into the workforce or with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in a competitive health science program.

Path I: Clinical Patient Care

Path II: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Path III: Medical Office Administration

Microcredentials are offered in Clinical Patient Care and Healthcare Fundamentals. Earn a microcredential and the Health Studies degree simultaneously!
