Welcome to the Health Studies Department at SUNY Broome Community College.

My name is Erin O’Hara-Leslie, CMA (AAMA) MS Ed. and I serve as the Department Chairperson and as a faculty member. There are dedicated faculty members in the department who are credentialed in their profession and strive to provide a quality education to our students.

Health Studies Department

The Health Studies Department offers two distinct degree pathways: the Health Studies A.A.S. and the Health Sciences A.S.

The Health Studies A.A.S. is a career-focused degree designed to help students enter the healthcare workforce quickly. It provides opportunities to earn microcredentials and choose from various healthcare pathways aligned with high-demand careers. This degree also includes coursework that can support students planning to apply to one of our competitive health science programs.

The Health Science A.S. is an academically rigorous, transfer-oriented degree that combines health-focused and general education coursework. It is ideal for students intending to continue their education at a four-year college or university.
