What to do in a Crisis

In the event of imminent danger or violence, students, faculty, or staff are advised to contact 911 or, if on campus from the Blue Light phones.

For situations involving a crisis with no imminent threat of danger

  • Contact Counseling Services at 607-778- 5210 or Public Safety at 607-778-5083
  • Escort a student to Counseling Services in Science Building room 102 (8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday)

Emergency Resources

  • If on campus, call Public Safety at 607-778-5083 or 911 from any phone.
  • If in the Binghamton area, call the Crisis Center at 607-762-2302.
  • Call or text the National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 988
  • Contact the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741.
  • Call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
