Transcripts FAQ
The charge for a hard copy is approximately $6 and a PDF copy is approximately $3 per transcript.
Electronic and hard copy transcripts will be mailed to the designated address. If you choose the “Pick-up” in person option, you can collect the transcript at the Student Services Building, Room 105.
Online transcript orders require payment by credit/debit card. Payment for the full amount of a transcript order must be received before the order can be processed.
After the transcript order is received, the electronic PDF order is processed within 48 hours. Hard copy orders are processed within 5 business days.
Yes, when placing your transcript order, select a transcript type of “Pick-up.” When you receive notification that your order is complete, you may pick up your transcript in person at the Registrar’s Office in the Student Services Building, Room 105.
Note: Any hold on your account must be cleared with the Student Account office before a transcript is processed.
Yes, student may order their official transcripts if they have financial hold on their account.
At the discretionary of the NYS governor and SUNY Board, this ends the practice of withholding transcripts from students with outstanding balances.
Transcripts include cumulative GPA and semester GPA. SUNY Broome does not calculate class rank or standing.
Yes. During the transcript ordering process, you will be given the opportunity to upload your documents to be included with the transcript mailing.
Yes. you can view an unofficial transcript from your Student Portal in your MyCollege account.
Yes. When placing your transcript order, select a transcript type of “Pick-up.” Students must send a written request via email to registrar@sunybroome.edu indicating the name of the person who will collect the transcript. The person picking up the transcript must show a photo ID.
No. Under FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) only students have access to their educational records. When a student turns 18 or attends post-secondary school after high school level, access to his/her educational records becomes legally exclusive to the student.
You will be notified when the transcript order has been processed. You should contact the designated institution in 5 – 7 business days to verify the receipt of the transcript.
E-transcripts can only be sent to the “Recipient” email address. Sending the transcript to yourself and forwarding it to another address nullifies it as an official transcript.
You will receive a tracking number if you select Priority or Express delivery for an additional cost. Standard USPS delivery does not provide a tracking number.
