Health Science A.S. (formerly Health Studies A.S.)

The Health Science A.S. degree is a dynamic, academically rigorous program designed for students looking to pursue advanced educational opportunities in higher education. Blending health-focused and general education courses, this transfer-ready degree is the perfect launchpad for those planning to continue their education at a four-year college or university and want to pursue exciting careers in the growing field of healthcare.

This challenging program prepares you to transfer smoothly to a four-year college. A solid background in biology, chemistry, and math (C or better) is recommended.

To support a variety of learning preferences and schedules, many courses are offered in multiple formats—including fully online, traditional in-person classes, or a hybrid of both. In fact, the entire Health Sciences A.S. program can be completed 100% online, providing maximum flexibility for students.

SUNY Broome has numerous transfer agreements with various four-year institutions, which provide students with a smooth transition to pursue their baccalaureate degree upon completing this program.
