GA2009 Mission, Strategic Plan and Assessment Policy

Purpose

To serve as a reminder to members of the College to ensure that all activities conducted at the College, including its programs and services, are in line with the college mission and vision, adhere to the set of established values, are aligned with the strategic plan, and regularly assessed.

Statement of the Policy

The SUNY Broome Community College Mission statement serves as a foundation for all activities of the college. The Vision statement serves as the forward-facing futuristic guide for the College, providing it with the direction for which to aim. The College Values statements describe what the institution stands for and serve as the guides by which all programs and services, including assessment activities are conducted, in order to achieve the College mission. The Strategic Plan of the College serves as the bridge between realizing our vision and achieving our mission. All activities at the College align with the strategic plan, which, through regular assessment, serve as the mechanism by which the College evaluates its progress toward attainment of the mission and vision.

All members of the college, including faculty, staff, administration, and Board of Trustee members must work to ensure that all activities are consistent with the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the College, uphold its values, and which are regularly assessed.
