Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish parameters for students who wish to repeat a course.
Statement of the Policy
A student may repeat a course up to two times (for a maximum of 3 times).
This excludes:
- Courses that are taken multiple times for credit (Ex. MUS 190, MUS 195, MUS 290, etc.).
- Courses in which a grade of “W” was received.
- Courses within competitive health science programs and the chemical dependency counseling program which require minimum grades to pass and which allow only one repeat. Note: Each competitive health science program, and the chemical dependency counseling program has specific course and grade requirements outlined in the catalog.
Students who would like to repeat a course more than twice must appeal to the Vice President for Academic Affairs in writing.
