Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish a method for providing an honorarium for guest speakers in the classroom.
Statement of the Policy
With departmental approval, faculty members may utilize guest speakers to enhance classroom presentations or for other appropriate educational purposes.
Guest speakers may be paid an honorarium.

“Honorarium: a payment given for professional services that are rendered nominally without charge.”
