Statement of the Procedure
Prior approval by the appropriate academic dean is required before a faculty member makes any commitment to offer or supervise an Independent Study. Faculty participation, workload, and compensation are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Independent Studies must be initiated within the timelines established by the College for the applicable academic term and must be completed within the approved term.
All Independent Study offerings must follow the College’s Credit Hour Policy.
