Broome to Binghamton Guarantee (B2B)

What is the Broome to Binghamton Guarantee (B2B)?

B2B is a transfer pathway through SUNY Broome Community College that allows eligible students to seamlessly transfer into Binghamton University’s Harpur College of Arts and Sciences after fulfilling required academic criteria.

The B2B Guarantee is by invitation only, and students who apply to Binghamton University are automatically considered (you do not need to apply to SUNY Broome).

Benefits of B2B

Both SUNY Broome and Binghamton University prepare students to succeed in college and beyond.

While at SUNY Broome, students can:

  • take advantage of priority advising and course registration days at SUNY Broome while also having a dedicated advisor at Binghamton.
  • learn and thrive in small classes with personal attention
  • access tutoring services, the writing center, the math lab and more in Broome’s Learning Assistance Center
  • participate in 50+ student clubs and organizations.

After transferring to Binghamton University, students can:

  • receive support through the Transfer Student Success office — a place to go for mentoring, advice and advocacy through activities, programs and organizations.
  • join the Binghamton Association of Transfer Students (BTSA) to find extracurricular and leadership activities, explore networking opportunities, excel academically and develop a stronger connection to Binghamton.
  • request a mentor through the Transfer Mentor program to help ease the transition to Binghamton.

How does it work?

Students are eligible to seamlessly transfer into Binghamton University’s Harpur College of Arts and Sciences after fulfilling one of these criteria:

  • Earn 30 transferable credits in your first year at SUNY Broome with a minimum of 18 credits in the core academic curriculum (the State University of New York’s general education curriculum) and an overall grade point average of 2.8 or higher

OR

  • Earn 60 transferable credits in your second year at SUNY Broome with a minimum of 30 credits in the core academic curriculum (the State University of New York’s general education curriculum) and an overall grade point average of 2.8 or higher
