Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are an internationally recognized set of standards developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG provides guidance on how to design and develop digital content—such as websites, applications, documents, and online services—so that they are accessible to people with disabilities, including individuals who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input, screen magnification, or other assistive technologies.

WCAG is organized around four core principles, often referred to as POUR:

Information must be presented in ways users can perceive
Interface components must be usable via keyboard and other inputs

Content and functionality must be clear and predictable

Content must work reliably with current and future assistive technologies
