How to

Method One

Every student has a private image gallery located within their profile pages. Here you can place your images for your various pages.

From the home page of MyCollege (which can be accessed easily by clicking on the "My" logo on the left top corner of the screen), click on the my communities symbol. On the scroll down menu, select MyCommunity and then select My E-Portfolio (see image below).

Method Two

The second method to finding your private image gallery is by clicking Menu on the right-side of the top menu and selecting the drop-down Control Panel (see first image below). On the far left, click Image Gallery and the right portion of your screen will display your image gallery (see second image below).

Switching Between Image Galleries

Note: This only applies to those who own other communities (not average students).

You can access all of your image galleries from any of your profile pages. To do this follow method two (above). Now, near the top of your screen is a header that reads "Content for" and then whatever gallery the system thinks that you want. If you are on your profile pages it will be "My Community". But if you are an admin, or something lesser, of another community and you are on that communities pages, the default gallery will be for that community and you cannot switch to your personal, profile image gallery.

To move to the other image gallery, click the word (whatever it is) following "Content For" and, on the drop-down menu select the gallery that you desire.

If you are not a member of any group or community, you will have only one image gallery. No matter how many times you drag image gallery onto your pages, it will still be the same gallery duplicated. This is why it is important to set your permissions for each folder so that your private images are not viewable but the images you would like public are. See {How Do I Create an Image Gallery?} below for more information.

How do I Create an Image Gallery?

To place an image gallery on your page, follow the instructions found at {How Do I Set Up an Application?}

Like any other app, you can set up the look and feel of this application (see {Look and Feel}) and edit the permissions for this app (see {How Do I Set up Permission?}).

Setting Permissions is very important to determine who can view the image gallery (this is accomplished by clicking the wrench symbol and then Configuration and then navigating to the Permissions tab (if it did not automatically pop-up). To allow others to view your images, upload images into your folder, add a subfolder and many other options, you click Actions which is located to the right of your folders name and select Permissions.
