Additional H1N1 vaccine in both injection and intranasal forms available by appointment

We have received additional H1N1 vaccine in both injection and intranasal forms and would like to start administering the vaccine by appointment .

The initial target groups for first vaccination have not changed and include:

Pregnant women

People who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months

Health care and emergency medical services personnel

People 6 months through 24 years of age, and,

People 25 years through 64 years of age who have certain medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.

People at High Risk for Flu Complications include people who have:

Cancer

Blood disorders (including sickle cell disease)

Chronic lung disease such as asthma or COPD

Diabetes

Heart Disease

Kidney disorders

Liver disorders

Neurological disorders

Neuromuscular disorders

Weakened immune systems (HIV or AIDS) or on medications that weaken the immune system.

There is no charge for the vaccine.
