Women’s Lacrosse
The BCC women’s lacrosse team enters their third year of play and will be looking to recapture the excitement of the first year and return to the Regional playoffs. The Hornets play in the extremely competitive Region III Conference, which featured two of the teams that advanced to the NJCAA Final Four in 2009. With only three returning players, the 2010 team will need to rely on a strong incoming freshmen class.
Coach Ed Yetsko, who has been with the program from the beginning as Associate Coach, takes over as Head Coach this season. Coach Yetsko is looking for new players to join the team. Lacrosse experience is desired but not required. Athletes from soccer, basketball, field hockey and other sports can easily make the transition to the lacrosse field. If you enjoy being part of an athletic team and are interested in learning a new sport, the women’s lacrosse team may be a great opportunity.
A pre-season meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at noon in the Events Room of the Ice Center for all current team members and any potential new players. Student-athletes interested in learning more about the BCC Women’s Lacrosse program, may call Coach Yetsko at (607) 427-3771 or e-mail at eyetsko@sunybroome.edu.
