In partnership with Jobs for the Future (JFF) and Grow with Google, SUNY Broome is offering free access to Google Certificates for current SUNY Broome students, current faculty/staff members, alumni, and individuals who live in the following counties.
New York: Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga, Tompkins.
Pennsylvania: Bradford and Susquehanna.

User Experience — about 240 hours. Google estimates the time commitment for one certificate is about 10 hours a week for six months. Depending on the specific certificate and the time you’re able to devote, you may complete it more quickly or more slowly.

No. The courses are available online and are self-guided.
Upon completion of a Google Certificate course, you’ll have a credential recognized by more than 140 national and local employers.
When you complete a Google Career Certificate, you’ll get exclusive access to CareerCircle, which offers free one-on-one coaching, interview and career support, and a job board to connect directly with employers, including over 150 companies in the Google Career Certificates Employer Consortium.

Information about each certificate
Advanced data professionals are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting extremely large amounts of data. These jobs require manipulating large data sets and using advanced analytics including machine learning, predictive modeling, and experimental design.
This certificate builds on your data analytics skills and experience to take your career to the next level. It’s designed for graduates of the Google Data Analytics Certificate or people with equivalent data analytics experience. Expand your knowledge with practical, hands-on projects, featuring Jupyter Notebook, Python, and Tableau.
After seven courses, you’ll be prepared for jobs like senior data analyst, junior data scientist, data science analyst, and more. At under 10 hours a week, the certificate program can be completed in less than six months. Upon completion, you can apply for jobs with Google and over 150 U.S. employers, including Deloitte, Target, and Verizon.
